National 1 League Kicks Off in Mid-Atlantic District 2

The inaugural season of the National 1 League (N1) opens August 29 in Mid-Atlantic District 2, operated by NCSL in collaboration with VPSL. Teams across U13 to U19 boys and girls compete in North and South divisions built to limit weekly travel, with approximately 8 games per team through November 8.

For U15 and above, the Fall season is a qualifying season seeding the District 2 Championship, tentatively December 5-6 at a neutral site. For U13-U14, Fall standings set Spring divisions.

Schedules, standings, field information, and match-day resources are now live on the NCSL N1 page.

For Teams and Managers

Everything you need for the season is collected on the N1 page:

Teams registering players through GotSport should confirm US Club Soccer verification is complete, including proof of birth documents. Verification from VYSA registration does not carry over automatically.

Coach Education Due September 15

Every N1 coach must complete 5 hours of annual development and submit proof through the N1 Coach Eligibility Form in GotSport by September 15, 2026. Coaches without completed education will not be approved for N1 play. Coaches Voice CPD hours, a U.S. Soccer D license earned within the past 5 years, or an approved pathway waiver all satisfy the requirement.

Spring 2027 Applications Are Open

Teams not competing this fall can still join for the spring. Applications are reviewed and acceptances issued on a rolling basis, and the window closes January 16, 2027. Registration fees are $1,200 for U13-U14, $1,350 for U15-U16, and $1,400 for U17-U19, including referee fees for all league matches. A valid credit card is required at submission and is charged only upon acceptance. Teams not accepted receive a 100% refund.

Each team applies individually and is evaluated on on-field performance, organizational standing, and regional fit. Your club's size or affiliation does not determine your team's eligibility.
