The U-16 (D1) DC Stoddert Blue Lightning is looking for dedicated players who are ready for the challenge of D1 soccer. Our team is coached by Evans Malyi, a former University of Maryland player who holds a USSF "A" License and also coaches the U-17 Maryland State ODP team. The U-16 MSC Arsenal NCSL Division 2 is holding tryouts for the Spring 2010 season. The team is coached by Dylan Dempsey. Coach Dempsey was a local player who spent time playing in the Region 1 league with Bethesda Soccer club, Maryland’s ODP program, won multiple MD state champioships at River Hill High School, and has professional playing experience having played in Dublin, Ireland (Saint Patrick’s Athletic) and Barcelona, Spain (RCD Espanyol) (U.E. Vilassar de Mar). Coach Dempsey is the current head JV coach at Richard Montgomery High School and holds his NSCAA National Diploma. The Patriots conduct two practices per week in Bethesda. Seneca Soccer Association, The SSA Dufief Dragons U-16 boys are looking for serious, high impact and motivated soccer players who want to join and grow with our team. For the Fall 2009 season we played in Division 3, and will probably remain or move up for the Spring 2010 season.
